Alexander Webinar Series:\n \nThe Impact of Testamentary Documents in a Divorce: a Divorce Attorneys’ Perspective\n \nIn this program we will explore misconceptions in divorce, mainly how one’s testamentary plans\n may actually play out in the process. We will examine the concerns to weigh when the parties\n have trust assets (marital, separate, or hybrid property). We will discuss how testamentary\n documents may not completely shield a party’s assets from a claim for equitable distribution,\n spousal and child support, and attorneys’ fees and costs. We will analyze how a party’s actions\n before, during, and after divorce may impact the ultimate treatment of their assets and\n liabilities.\n Natalia Wilson is a Principal and Managing Partner of Ain & Bank, P.C., serving clients in DC, MD,\n and VA. She is a trusted personal advisor with over a decade of experience in all aspects of\n matrimonial and family law. She represents a range of individuals, including clients in high net\n worth cases involving business valuations, businesses held in trusts and other estate planning\n vehicles, and interstate child custody and support matters. In addition to her practice, Natalia\n has been entrusted to manage the hiring needs and financial matters of the firm. She is a Fellow\n of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and an Adjunct Faculty member of American\n University- Washington College of Law.
