MEC October Meeting - One Size Does Not Fit All: Creating a Tailored Giving Plan for Your Client

Alison is the Director of Donor and Advisor Engagement at the Madison Community Foundation, where she draws on her experience as a tax, estate, and succession planning attorney to help people make impactful gifts to causes that are meaningful to them. She also serves as a resource for professional advisors who would like to help their clients create and implement charitable giving plans.

Alison received her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2005, her LLM in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law in 2006, and her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation from the American College of Financial Services in 2023. She is an active member of both the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin, and has organized and presented at multiple CLE programs for both organizations. She is also a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin Taxation Law Section, a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation, and a Fellow of the American Bar Association. She currently serves on the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors, the board of Downtown Madison, Inc., and the board of the Wisconsin Law Foundation.
